Burled Siberian Elm Slab Bench With Steel Base
Burled Siberian Elm slab with powder coated steel base. Elm is a ring porous wood, like Oak and Ash, which has an open, coarse grain that is often irregular and wild. The elm's wood bends well and distorts easily making it quite pliant. The often long, straight, trunks were favoured as a source of timber for keels in ship construction.
