Spiral Pleated Pendant Lamp

This light shade was made with a single sheet of watercolor paper and uses only straight-line folds. The curves come from the angles between creases. The shape is a twisted box pleat with some alterations to prevent puckering. It is intended to be a stylish light that can be used in any house, mansion, theater or dorm. It can also be made from transparent polycarbonate film. It can be a pendant (hardwired into the ceiling) or a swag lamp (which plugs into a wall socket and has a switch on the cord). The shade ships flat, in a box that is a couple inches thick. It can be purchased as just a lamp shade, or I can send a lamp cord and socket with it. I'd say this is between modern and classic, but I will defer to people who better know the taxonomy map.
