St. Mary's Ambry
This ambry--a cabinet used to store ceremonial oils in a church--was made for St. Mary's Catholic Church in Corvallis, OR for the occasion of their 150th anniversary, part of a suite of liturgical furnishings including an ambo (pulpit), music podium, presider's and deacon's chairs, and time capsule. The angled sides of this oils cabinet reflect the hexagonal plan of the church, and the patterns in the "New German Antique" glass are reminiscent of those made as water falls into the nearby baptismal font.
