Stickley 706 Craftsman Fall Front Writing Desk

THIS IS OUR INTERPRETATION OF A CRAFTSMAN CLASSIC — the Stickley No. 706 secretary desk designed by Harvey Ellis.

We generally tweak original Craftsman designs to make our furniture more compatible with today's life styles, but this desk needs no refinement. It's almost as if Ellis anticipated the computer era. The bottom shelf is perfect for setting a computer, and if that's your intention, we drill it for computer cables The lid conceals pigeon holes that can be configured to meet your particular requirements, but the original will hold most anything, and actually needs no modification to work well in today's home or office.

DIMENSIONS: 30"W X 44-1/4"H X 11-1/8"D

HERITAGE PERIOD: Arts & Crafts, 1900-1941.

CRAFTSMANSHIP: We build it out of the solid hardwood in a nearly infinite number of finishes to match your decor.

USES: This is he perfect desk where space is limited. It is only 11" deep when closed but a fully functioning home office center when open for use. In the bedroom, office or den it serves as a bill-paying or study center, in the kitchen, as a meal planning center. All the clutter is neatly hidden when the lid is closed.

CUSTOMIZATION: Available with a mortise lock, if desired. Easily modified for a computer. Lid staves can be inlaid using any of our standard marquetry patterns. Contact us for a copy of our inlay catalog.

Our coordinating Arts & Crafts Bedside Chest can serve as a printer table that stores paper and toner or ink conveniently adjacent.

PROVENANCE & WARRANTY: The table is signed by the craftsman who makes it, and comes with a certificate of provenance and, usually, a copy of the plans and drawings from which it was made. It is warranted in writing against defects in our workmanship for as long as you own it.. Contact us for a copy of our "No-Nonsense, Plain-English, Limited Warranty"
