Made from a burl-like slab of two-and-a-half inch thick Sugar Maple with a natural live-edge this board works as a Cutting Board on one side and a Presentation board on the other. It is over-sized and stunningly handsome
The wood has tons of character - swimming, wave-like grains on amber heartwood, an elegant pine colored sapwood border on one side and a wooded, bark-colored edge on the other. It has been sanded and molded to an organic smoothness to heighten its natural live edges and graining but is pleasingly solid at the same time. The presentation side has gently sliding slopes which enhance the food styling on its center. Both surfaces are finished with natural, organic, FDA approved wax and oil.
The board has a handmade Copper and Brass-pipe handle.
DIMENSIONS : 2 1/2 inches thick, 19 inches long, a width of 17 inches tapering to 11 inches
