The customer wanted the tomahawk recessed into the bottom of the box.
I had to use oak and foam and draw around the tomahawk to get the pattern. I then used a band saw to make the cut out. Once that was done I flocked the interior with wine colored leather. This makes for a beautiful effect and a semi soft interior.
The rest is attaching the interior cutout with trim inside the box.
You will also notice the bottom is recessed into the frame making for a nice tight fit and finish.
