We were asked to build a custom bed for a very "special" customer. She was special, because her business was tending to the particularly beautiful personal gardens and landscaping in Washington DC.
We received a "suggestive" photo (of another piece of furniture) from her and proceeded to design the Tulip Bed and Stands. Through the magic of digital manipulation, we were able, for the first time, to actually construct a digital mock-up of the bed. It was nearly impossible to tell that it was a constructed image and not a photo of an actual bed. A few tweaks and everyone was satisfied.
When we were ready to send color samples to her, I was inclined to not send some of the colors that "I" thought were unsuitable......OOPS..... I almost didn't send the black samples.AND, was mildly shocked (and, I will admit dismayed) when she chose our ebony black finish.
NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN.......What a beauty. I am glad that she could see it, and that is why she was so "special". Looking through her lens of floral hues, she was able to picture what I was not......What a beauty it turned out to be.
The bed pictured is a Queen. We have since made them in several other sizes.
