I searched for months for an oversized (7") newel post emulating the design and workmanship of 100 years ago for our farmhouse. I found Bill Pinion's site and can only say the whole experience of working with Bill has been delightful from start to finish. Top notch craftsmanship, first class professionalism.
Turned Post King Size Platform Bed. The bases and largest balls are 8 inch diameter with a combination of cylinders, squares and concave cylinders. This is made of maple with a General Finishes Weathered Grey stain and shellac finish. A good name for this bed would be "The Castle Bed".
