This walnut live edge coffee table was made out of love and creativity. The top is a crotch-cut live edge slab that contains beautiful colors, curvatures, figuring and wood grains. The wood came off of an urban reclaimed log and after being kiln dried, has been waiting years for me to make something from it. The top slab was cut into half and connected using rectangular slats of walnut to add visual interest. This piece has been flattened, sanded smooth and finished in an oil and satin poly combo. The film finish will put up with cold drinks, hot coffee, liquid spills and rowdy house guests with no worries. The top has been married to four Mid-Century and Danish styled tapered legs. The legs were products from the 60's-70's and after cleaning them up, look good as new. The four legs also screw in/out, so you can adjust to taste on uneven floors. This awesome coffee table has a stellar blend of organic beauty, modern design, reclaimed/ upcycled materials, Mid-Century flavor and rustic intrigue. Ready to ship!
