Wedding Dress
The bride for this dress is getting married for a second time. She didn't want the traditional style wedding dress. She loves feathers and the Mardi Gras colors so the peacock theme was what we went with. The original picture that we went with to mimic is nothing like what we finally wound up designing!
The dress is two pieces. The top corset and the bottom skirt. The skirt is full enough to hold a 6 foot hoop skirt (hers is only 2 feet in diameter!). We altered the back of dress to show a modesty panel. The original pattern has no straps either. Those were added for support for her. The feathers are embroidered and the jewels are all hand placed on. The trim on the bottom of the corset is the same that goes down the front of the panel on the skirt.
I know she loved it when she broke down crying and saying how much she loved it =)
