We had this slab of soft maple from a locally cut tree damaged in a storm. Before working with this piece of wood it was just a 40" wide slab of grey wood. That is until we finally applied the first coat of Tried and True Danish Oil and saw the beautiful shimmer of the wood. That often happens with the unique pieces of wood that we use - they are just incredible.

The slab was matched with a mortise and tenon black walnut base designed with two full width shelves to hold a farm's worth of produce.
