Wine Chiller With Carved Grapes On The Vine - Creamy Yellow-Ice Bucket- Utensil Holder

Wine Chiller with Carved Grapes on the Vine - Creamy Yellow-Ice bucket- utensil holder - Handmade wheel thrown pottery

Keep your wine at a comfortable drinking temperature in style. This handmade stoneware wine chiller has a beautiful hand carved grape cluster design that circles the vessel. It is glazed on the inside as well as the outside top and bottom with soft creamy yellow glaze accented by random spots of iron. The carved design is filled with multiple glazes and the surface wiped to expose the clay surface surrounding the carving. The wine chiller comes with a matching small plate to catch the moisture which forms on the wine chiller when in use.

For white wine, place the wine chiller in the refrigerator or chill using ice water. Place chilled wine in the chiller leaving a small amount of chilled water to keep chilled wine cool.

For red wine, place the wine chiller in the refrigerator or chill using ice water. Place red wine in chiller (no water) to keep red wine a perfect drinking temperature. Works especially well for keeping red wine from getting too warm when serving outside in warm weather.

Wine Chiller - Approx. 6 1/2"(16.5 cm) in height, it is 4 1/2"(11.4 cm) in diameter at the base and widens to 6 3/4"(17.2 cm) in diameter at the top. The inside width is sufficiently large to accommodate various styles of a 750 ml wine bottles including champagne bottles along with some cold water and/or ice when needed. Plate - 1" (2.5 cm) h x 5 3/4" (14.6 cm) in diameter.

This piece was handmade on a potter's wheel out of stoneware and fired to over 2300 degrees F.
