Woodburn Animal Art
This is a 12"x 12" piece of Baltic Birch. It is 1/4" wide, has a hanger on the back and is signed on the back as well as dated. The tree frog was pains-takingly brought to life with a hand held wood burner. Then some color was added to the eye and the background was burned solid black because red-eyed tree frogs are nocturnal.
The whole thing was finished with two coats of hand rubbed Tung oil to preserve it for many years to come.
