-Copper and Sterling Silver Pendant: .5" wide x 1" tall x .5" deep
-18", 5-Strand Steel Cable w/ Tension Clasp
-Sterling Silver Backing (won't turn you green)
I make these little pendants by constructing a copper cylinder and raising it on an anti-clastic stake. I cut the resulting form in half and solder it to a sterling silver backing. This backing keeps the copper off sensitive skin, so it can be worn for extended periods. It hangs on an 18", 5-strand steel cable with a tension clasp.
I heat treat each pendant to achieve a beautiful range of colorful finishes. Take a look at the additional image showing these choices, and let me know which you would prefer in a note when you order. No two will be exactly alike, but there is a certain amount of control I can exercise during the process; the colors freeze in place when I quench the hot metal in cool water.
