The grooves in the drawers actually ride on the diamond shaped runners that are visible in the front. Maple splines help hold the walnut drawers together and add a decorative touch.
2 dimensional pictures cannot do the figure and chatoyance of these woods justice. They have a 3 dimensional look that just begs to be touched.
Drawers are lined with black silver-cloth with an acid free backing to help protect and preserve your precious metals for years to come. Hand crafted wooden drawer pulls are also claro walnut and curly maple. Finish is shellac and lacquer rubbed out by hand.
Overall (outside dimensions) are 9 1/2" x 14" x 9" high. Drawer dimensions (outside) are 8" x 10" x 1 3/4".
