Jewelry Box Named Patients
This jewelry box that I made for my favorite client was a joy and a challenge all at the same time.
The challenge was in building a piece that has moving parts that touch other moving parts that are only a 1/16" away from each other.
This piece was all about fine tuning and patients.
Another cool thing about this piece is that it gave me the opportunity to work with Bubinga wood (that's the darker wood.)
Bubinga is rare and very beautiful, not the kind of wood you use to make a large piece of furniture unless your super loaded or just cut down your own Bubinga tree from your back yard ;-)
Needless to say I hope I get to work with it again.
