The keepsake/jewelry box Michael made for my son’s wedding was beautiful. Michael was great to work with. The box exceeded my expectations and I would definitely work with him again. My son loved it and will treasure it forever.
This wood jewelry box was made for a client that likes natural Tiger Maple. He wanted something simple and it was designed from a box that I make as men's valet box. The boxes use was specifically for a tie clip collection.
I used a single board about six inches wide and a piece that had clean, white hues. Often times, the process of building a piece requires more time to build, because Natural Finishes require a full board that has no blemishes. I can sort through a dozen boards, before I find a board that become a natural box or chest. The box is part of a collection of boxes that are used on the clients 3 x 3 drawered chest. I also, built a true Shaker Chest, 1/3 scale, for this client. The style is inspired from other boxes and antique boxes I have seen.

Thank you so much for your excellent workmanship and professionalism, Michael. You took my dream and some VERY rough sketches and turned them into the most amazing box for my son. It will be an awesome wedding gift for him that honors his childhood as he moves into a new life phase. I know it will be something he cherishes for years to come - even as he re-purposes the shadow box portion for new memories.
