Sterling Silver, Mokume Gane (Sterling and Nickle),
1/4"wide x 1"tall, 3/8"deep,
I fabricated these wedge earrings out of sterling silver sheet and mokume gane (made with sterling and nickle). Mokume gane is a Japanese metalsmithing technique wherein an alternating stack of varying metal alloys are diffusion welded into a solid brick. This brick is than worked in any number ways, to bring out various patterns in the layers of metal. I made the brick I used for these earrings out of sterling silver, and nickle. The posts and backs of the earrings are solid silver, so no nickle will come into contact with your skin.
