This rainbow coloured hand painted hemp cuff is a unique piece of wearable art for men, women or kids alike. This wrist band has been artfully created using acrylic paint on industrial hemp linen. Using a vibrant palette of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and silver, this one of a kind cuff will add an explosion of rich colour to any outfit.

For ease of use, this cuff is fitted with a nickel snap fastener. This bracelet has been hand sewn and painted on 100% organic hemp fabric. Each edge of this cuff has been machine sewn to ensure sturdy, no-fray edges. The hemp fabric of this cuff is strong yet flexible and very durable. The painting is created using high quality, light fast (fade resistant) acrylic paint and sealed with a clear coat of varnish.

My hand painted cuffs have been worn and loved by men, women, teens and kids for years. Although some of my cuffs my be listed and marketed as either masculine or feminine, each one is truly unisex and may be appropriate for both men and women, girls or boys.

For my bracelets, I needed a lightweight fabric that would stand the test of time, be flexible yet strong, that would provide insulation against temperatures for the wearer and be ecologically sound; hemp was the obvious answer to manifest my designs!

A BIT ABOUT HEMP...

Hemp has been used for centuries as a durable fabric and extremely useful material. From the sails of ships, to wood for housing, to insulated, lightweight clothing, to nutrient packed food suited for humans and other animals a like, this plant provides a wealth of uses. Most hemp that is grown is classified as organic (pesticide free/sustainable) since the plant has evolved to be naturally insect resistant, thus eliminating the need for chemicals and making it a very easy crop to cultivate for farmers. Compared to cotton – currently the most common fiber used today – hemp produces four times the amount of yield per acre and leaves the soil it grew in richer for the next season. In other words, if hemp were used more commonly farmers could grow four times as much, year after year without damage to the land.
